I didn’t catch the Democrat debate last night. Wish I had known about it. Here are some clips. I liked Senator Gravel from Alaska, he seems like a really straight forward old man. He has no chance of winning but I have to say I agree with almost everything he said. It’s refreshing. Also, I think Brian Williams is my favorite journalist.

Even though I knew this stuff already (hey I got some stuff out of my econ major) I didn’t know just how dire the situation is.

First graph shows the national debt. Notice how at the end of each Democrat term the graph at least looks like it’s trying to level off. The second graph further down is the percent of US debt relative to GDP. The whole thing is a pretty interesting read… if you care at all about politics and economy.

Like many self proclaimed liberals, I am not the biggest fan of Fox News. I can generally sense the bias in their reporting, but their sensationalism is still entertaining though. CNN, MSNBC, they all do it, but Fox is just better at it, which is why I think they get better ratings.

I’m also not a big fan of their anchors, they just don’t seem credible to me. Except for one. I first read an interview with Shepard Smith in Esquire… or maybe Playboy… (both lean somewhat to the left, Playboy more than Esquire obviously), and he seemed like a stand up guy.

And after having seen this clip, I can now say I have a favorite anchor on Fox News. It’s rare to see a reporter go out on a limb and speak his mind.

Feels like I’m getting sick. Mild runny nose, slightly itchy throat, a couple of sneezes, the usual tell tale signs. Time to get on the regiment of Vitamin C, Riboflavin, Zinc and protein. I’m so kicking this virus’s ass. (Hopefully it’s a virus so I don’t need to go get antibiotics)

I took off work today. When I was setting up my out of office auto-response email I chuckled when it said “I will be out of the office on 4/20″.

I probably won’t be participating in any substance use today. But if anyone got some and feel like sharing, let me know.
